For several months prior to her death, Margaret suffered from migraine headaches. She died unexpectedly on October 26, 1932, from a brain tumor while she slept in her room at the Barbizon hotel in New York City. She was 65 years old. Margaret is buried next to her estranged husband J.J. in Long Island’s Holy Rood’s cemetery. *FYI: The date on the tombstone says she was born on July 19, 1868. However, there is also a bit of confusion regarding her the actual birthdate but it is generally regarded as July 18, 1867.
